Racetracks, like people and the lives they lead, are notoriously hard to read. The fact that you're oftentimes hurtling around it at mind-numbing speeds, just compounds the problem. To combat this difficulty, a set of visual aids known as markers, or 'marks' for short, are added in strategic places to help drivers navigate the circuit correctly. One such being Curbing, a colorful strip of protective shielding that both eases the angles of places such as sidewalks, and offers drivers a general idea of when to commit driving functions such as turning-in or braking. Just like God gave to Moses the Ten Commandments to govern the Israelites, so too does curbing aid the lives of drivers.

The Ten Commandments are as follows:
  1. You shall have no other gods before me (Nothing can be of higher priority than God)

  2. You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below (You shall not idolize anything)

  3. You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name (Don't use the Lord's name in vain)

  4. Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy (Observe Sunday as God's ordained day of rest)

  5. Honor your father and your mother (Respect your parents)

  6. You shall not murder (Self-Explanatory)

  7. You shall not commit adultery (Do not have sex with someone who isn't your wife)

  8. You shall not steal (Self-Explanatory)

  9. You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor (Don't lie about one another)

  10. You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor (Don't desire to take things from one another)

So how are colorful protectants alike to God's governance? It's simple. Curbing, like the ten commandments makes our lives easier by explicitly marking how we're supposed to live. When we get to one of life's corners and don't know how to approach it, without markers to tell us what to do, we may brake when we're supposed to accelerate, turn when we're supposed to slide, or shift when we're supposed to rev. The curbs, then, similar to the guidance gifted to us by the grace of God found in the Ten commandments, save us the head and heartache of choosing a wrong move when decision-making.

Also showcasing the glory of god, are the simple physics applied when using the curbs. As aforementioned, a protectant, curbing plays its primary role by bridging the gap between two surfaces, and better exposing the limits of the track. Both of these are things we've seen before in our Lord and Savior. Jesus, our protectant, bridged the gap between Heaven and Earth by coming down in the form of man, whereas his father, through the Ten Commandments, as well as the bible, laid out the limits for our path in the Christian lifestyle, as well as the penalties in place for if we go wide and exploit the limits.
